Outline approval has been granted for 5 houses at Smithfield Court at Lane, Newquay.
The site occupies a position on the outskirts of the town in an area which is undergoing much change with the Nansledan/Newquay Growth Area to the north and new large scale housing developments to the west. The land is owned by the neighbouring Hendra Holiday Park and was surplus to their requirements. CAD Architects provided both design and planning services, working with the local authority to build a strong planning case for the site’s development. The proposals were supported by the Parish Council and attained a delegated approval from the case officer.
It is considered that this site has great potential to become a high quality development in an increasingly desirable location.
