THE ALVERTON HOTEL
THE PROJECT
The St. Michael’s building at the Alverton Manor Hotel sits adjacent to the former walled garden and to the north and west of the main hotel building. The original buildings provided stables and ancillary buildings for the original dwelling and later, when the dwelling was a convent, provided the space for a laundry.
The Alverton Manor Hotel is a busy and well thought of facility, but it lacked sufficient rooms to render the other facilities truly efficient. The use of St. Michael’s to make additional rooms is a major boost to efficiency and profit for the hotel.
The group of buildings at Alverton Manor are a major heritage asset and Listed Grade II. The conversion and renovation was therefore a sensitive and detailed project guided by CAD Heritage.
